    Hello,

We hope you are keeping well. Thank you as always for the ratings and kind comments we receive in response to these messages. I don’t always respond so not to bombard you with Emails but we are very grateful, and all feedback is appreciated.

    Burbage Update

4 suspects were seen removing a fence panel from a back garden on Brookside, close to the outdoor Gym area at around 01:10 on 20/02/2021. It does not appear anything was taken from the back garden and the suspects may have been spooked by outdoor lights triggering. If you live in the area and have any footage of these suspects please get in touch 21*101118

Types of crime over the last twelve months has changed. Please consider checking shed/garden security, nothing left in your vehicle, bicycles are locked up out of view and take tools out of your van if you have one. I have attached a couple of really good leaflets to support with the garden security. Feel free to print and share these.

Don’t forget to get in touch if you would like a copy of our crime prevention products booklet. We have a quantity of products which include Cactus spikes (for top of fence), personal attack alarms, padlock alarms, window alarms and car key wallets. All sold at cost, drop me an Email Darren.stretton@leicestershire.pnn.police.uk

    Road rage incidents.
There have been a few reported over recent weeks. Please do not engage and try and get the registration of the offending vehicle. Don’t get caught up in the heat of the moment and try to stay in your vehicle. Dash cam footage can be very useful if a complaint is made so don’t give the suspect reason for counter allegations. Take a deep breath and keep yourself safe.

Patrols for recent days and ongoing include Brookfield Road, Smithy Lane and Sketchley Grange area amongst others including all local parks.

We have visited streets such as Holt Road, Armour Close, Green Close and Briarmead with leaflet drops to raise awareness around crime and crime prevention. Please take a minute to read them if possible.

Take care and thank you for taking the time to read this.
