Male gets 16 weeks in prison

I hope this message finds you well.

I thought that I would take this opportunity to inform you of some local policing activity over the past few days.

On the morning of Thursday 11th February 2021 a local man was arrested for making nuisance phone calls to Leicestershire Police and East Midlands Ambulance Service. The phone calls spanned over a few months and were abusive in nature and stopped the emergency services going to the genuine people who really needed them.

As a result he was charged and remanded into custody and appeared at court on Friday 12th February 2021 where he received 16 weeks imprisonment for this offence as well as an outstanding matter.

Please be rest assured the police deal with what matters to you.
