South Leicester Police - Knighton Speeding Enforcement

Dear Knighton Resident,

A joint speeding enforcement operation was conducted by Oadby and Knighton officers yesterday (06/02/21).

The roads that this enforcement action took place on the Knighton beat were Guildford Road and Ratcliffe Road.

The operation resulted in a total of 27 speeding tickets being issued to drivers not observing the 30mph speed limit. All vehicles that were issued tickets were well in excess of the speed limit.

One vehicle was seized using our Section 165 powers – the driver had no driving licence and the vehicle was not insured. Other persons were issued advice, including around the use of seatbelts and illegal number plates.
