Possible Rogue Traders in The Vale

This afternoon we have had a report of possible rogue traders in Goadby Marwood.

At about 12:45 a resident picked up two men ringing his video door bell to tell him that he had blocked drain.

The two men arrived at his address on foot and the video did not pick up any vehicle nearby.

One was middle aged wearing a scruffy fluorescent jacket. The second was in his early twenties, wearing fluorescent orange trousers and a scruffy yellow fluorescent bib. Both had Irish accents.

The resident does not have a blocked drain so we suspect that these gentlemen may well be rogue traders.

Please be aware of these people and keep an eye on elderly neighbours who may be more at risk to such characters. If you see anything suspicious, then please contact the police on 101 (or 999 in an emergency)
