  • Bottesford: follow up to Damage on Grantham Road

    Alert message sent 18/10/2020 15:09:00

Information sent on behalf of Leicestershire Police

    Dear Residents

Following my previous message on 10th October regarding a pumpkin being taken from the allotments and then damaged, I would like to inform you of the conclusion of the investigation.

The child responsible has admitted to their involvement and has agreed to a community resolution. This is a voluntary agreement between the victim and the offender and prevents the young child entering the criminal justice system which can have a wider impact to their future. A community resolution is primarily aimed at first time offenders where there has been an admission of guilt.

This morning the child met with the victims at their allotment and offered an apology and carried out voluntary work at their allotment. The child helped dig the potatoes up for the victim which usually takes them about an hour and a half. The child completed this in 45 minutes, worked hard and did a grand job.

    Kind Regards

    PCSO Claire Gray 6541
