Bottesford: Attempted Distraction Burglary

Dear Residents

Unfortunately we received a report yesterday of an attempt distraction burglary in the area of Old Station Yard, Bottesford between 10am and 1pm. The suspect was a male purporting to be from the Barclay's Bank Fraud team and insisted on coming into the property. When asked for ID they made an excuse and left and informed the victim they should expect a phone call to continue this. Shortly after a phone call was received from a male who wanted to progress this on the phone. Luckily they were unsuccessful. Police officers attended the location and conducted local enquiries.

If you were in the area at the time and recall seeing anyone going door to door please reply to this message with the details and description. If you live nearby and have CCTV please check to see if this has picked up on anything and again reply to this message.
