  • South Leicester Police - Stabbing Appeal

    Officers are investigating following the stabbing of a teenager in the Saffron Lane area of Leicester.
    Around 8.45pm yesterday (10 July) a 19-year-old man arrived at the Leicester Royal Infirmary with a stab wound to his abdomen.
    Following police enquiries it is believed the victim was injured sometime after 8pm on a footpath between The Newry and Southfields Drive.
    He remains in hospital in a critical condition.
    A 16-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and are currently in police custody.
    A scene preservation was on in the area the incident is believed to have happened but has now been removed.
    Police are working to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident and are asking anyone with information to call 101, quoting incident 607 of 10 July.
