Incident number: 192 of 25 January
Detectives are appealing for information after the body of a man was found in Gaulby Lane, Stoughton, Leicester.
Police were called to the area shortly after 10am today (25 January) following the discovery and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
His death is currently being treated as unexplained. An investigation is underway and enquiries are in their early stages.
Anyone who uses the area of Gaulby Lane and who may have any information which could help is urged to make contact with police.
Detective Inspector Mark Sinski said: “We are keen to hear from anyone who saw anything unusual or suspicious in the area between 7pm last night and 10am this morning.
“If you were in the area, please think carefully about anything you may have seen or any information you may have.
“Do you regularly use the road? Were you driving along it between 7pm on 24 January and 10am on 25 January? Did you notice anything unusual or do have any dashcam footage from the journey which could hold vital evidence? Or were you on foot or cycling in the area and notice something which you thought was out of the ordinary?
“If you think you have any information at all, no matter how small or insignificant it may be, then please make contact – it could help us with our enquiries.”
